Timber thinning & clearing

Make room for a healthier, more manageable forest.

Selective thinning removes some trees so the strongest and best-suited trees have more growing space. We also evaluate merchantable timber clearing based on the property, access, and your goals.

What thinning can do

Improve the conditions around the trees you keep.

Overcrowding can increase competition for water, nutrients, and sunlight. A well-planned thinning can reduce that competition, open the canopy, improve access, and make it easier to monitor and manage the property.

Thinning is not one-size-fits-all. Species, stand age, slope, access, tree condition, and the landowner’s priorities all matter. We can walk through those factors with you before work begins.
